Happy New Year and welcome to the first Spiceworks Voice of IT Survey of 2026!

For our first survey of the new year, we’re asking IT pros to share their input on data storage and recovery.

You can find the survey through this link: Come fill out the Voice of IT Survey on storage and recovery!Opens a new window

Why storage and recovery? In an article on 2026 storage trendsOpens a new window , Infinidat chief marketing officer, Eric Herzog lays out a number of trends for storage in 2026, including the eye-popping stat from research firm Statista that suggests global data volume will jump from 181 zettabytes to between 230 and 240 zettabytes by the end of this year. That translates to an increase of between 27 to 33% in global data storage capacity if it comes to pass, making this a crucial topic for anyone who works in IT.

As always, we’ll share the survey results and expert analysis from our colleagues at Aberdeen Strategy & Research here. To those of you who fill out the survey, thank you in advance for sharing your experience with your IT colleagues around the world. Once you’re finished, be sure to look back at the Voice of IT surveys from last year on laptops, wireless access points, and password managers, and keep an eye out for our next survey for 2026 where explore the state of servers in IT, coming up in just a few short weeks.
